JA on the Whip Tip in Las Vegas, 1988 or '89. He was the first to throw Whips and No Handers ramp to ramp, back in 1984. Note the Forward Mounted Speedo (FMS) pioneered by Johnny Airtime. Also note the pinky on the tip of the grip. Like a fine wine, jumping has to be tasted with an extended pinky. JA runs no side plates or airbox - the bike would be more affected by side winds and could steer off course in mid-air on longer jumps when doing Cross-ups.
